Association of Intellectual Property Right (IPR) Consultants (AKHKI) the members of which is 454 consultants has an idea to found a legal aid service particularly handling IPR matters. This IPR legal aid service is aimed to protect creative industry from any plagiarism and counterfeiting as well as to provide business added value.

 

For the last six months, there have been 500 criminal cases of copyright, especially of music and software. Together with other infringement cases such as patent right, copyright, and trademark, the number of cases would be thousands. Based on legal system in Indonesia, IPR infringement could be settled with criminal law, civil law, or dispute settlement.

 

 

 

AKHKI is a non-profit institution the members of which are IPR consultants in Indonesia. The declaration of AKHKI foundation was performed by 78 initiators in Jakarta on 15 September 2006.
