Title Kenya Copyright Board visited Korea Copyright Commission

10 guests, including copyright investigator, legal consultant and ICT officer, from Kenya Copyright Board visited Korea Copyright Commission on Tuesday, June 25, 2013.

 

The officers from Kenya Copyright Board visited Korea to participate in intellectual property enforcement education program by Korea International Cooperation Agency. They expressed a profound interest in the main function of Korea Copyright Commission, such as deliberation on collective management organizations, law enforcement procedure in the copyright area, security of evidence for investigation, and cooperative investigation with the prosecution and the police department.

 

They also hoped the Commission to share its know-how on copyright management in digital environment, such as Digital Copyright Exchange and anti-piracy filtering system.

 

In his welcoming address, Chairman Yu Byong-han of Korea Copyright Commission emphasized the importance of copyright protection for development of contents industry and announced his intention to solidify cooperation and mutual assistance between Korea and Kenya.
