 2012 Korea-Philippine Copyright Forum, hosted by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Choe Kwang-shik) and Korea Copyright Commission (Chairman Yu Byong-han), was held at Legend Villas hotel in Philippine on December 7 (Friday).
The theme of this forum was ‘Development in Digital Contents Industries and Copyright Protection’. 70 participants, including experts from various areas of content industries and government officials in charge of copyright in the two countries, presented and discussed system improvement plans for cracking down online piracy of copyrighted materials made in South Korea, technologies for copyright protection, and current state of content distribution in both countries.
South Korea and Philippine assured to continue their cooperation in the area of copyright, as companions for developing digital content industries, through this forum. |
